Pricing in detail
For one person invoicing a handful of clients, FreshBooks Lite at $23 a month and Invoxa Pro at $5.99 both work; FreshBooks includes bookkeeping, Invoxa does not. The difference shows when you grow: a sixth billable client moves you to Plus at $43 a month, a second person adds $11 a month, and AutoPay card payments cost 3.5% + 30¢ instead of 2.9% + 30¢. Invoxa stays at one price with unlimited clients; card payments go through your own Stripe account at Stripe's rate (2.9% + 30¢ for domestic US cards), so per-payment fees are about the same as FreshBooks' standard card rate.
