Choose Invoice Simple if …
- You send three or fewer invoices a month and the $6.99 Essentials plan covers you.
- You want the app in Spanish or another of its 23 languages.
- You need an Android app, or you want bank transactions categorized in the same app.
- You take payments through PayPal or Venmo rather than a card processor.
Choose Invoxa if …
- You send more than ten invoices a month, or you do not want to count them.
- You send purchase orders as well as invoices and estimates.
- You want card payments in your own Stripe account, with nothing added on top.
- You work in a browser as much as on the phone and want the same documents on both.
What Invoice Simple is
Invoice Simple is an invoice app for phones first, with a web app as well, from Zenvoice Inc. It makes invoices, estimates and receipts, shows read receipts when a client opens an invoice, takes card, PayPal and Venmo payments through Invoice Simple Payments or your own Stripe or PayPal account, and has a bookkeeping section that pulls bank transactions through Plaid. The plans differ mainly in how many invoices you can send per month: Essentials ($6.99 a month) allows up to 3, Plus ($14.99) up to 10, and Premium ($21.99) is unlimited and adds client signatures, premium templates, business summary reports and priority support. Every new user gets a 14-day trial of Premium. The app is listed in 23 languages on the App Store, where it had a 4.9 rating from more than 120,000 ratings on 6 October 2026.
What Invoxa is
Invoxa is invoicing software with one plan. Invoxa Pro costs $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year ($4.99 a month) and includes unlimited invoices, estimates, purchase orders, clients and emails. New accounts get a 3-day free trial without a credit card. Documents carry your logo and brand color on one of 8 templates. Clients open documents from a link without an account, approve and sign estimates, and pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through your own Stripe account. Invoxa runs in the browser and in an iPhone app, in English; an Android app is in development.
Pricing in detail
The two products are priced on different ideas. Invoice Simple sells volume: the price goes up with the number of invoices you may send in a month, and unlimited invoicing costs $21.99 a month. Invoxa sells one plan at $5.99 a month, or $4.99 a month billed yearly, with no counting.
If you send up to three invoices a month, Invoice Simple Essentials at $6.99 is the closer comparison and the two cost about the same. From the fourth invoice a month, Invoice Simple moves you to Plus at $14.99, and from the eleventh to Premium at $21.99; Invoxa stays at $5.99. Over a year, unlimited invoicing is $59.99 on Invoxa against roughly ten months of $21.99 on Invoice Simple Premium with its two free months.
Payment fees are a separate line. Invoxa adds nothing to Stripe's rate (2.9% + 30¢ for domestic US cards). Invoice Simple's fees depend on whether you use Invoice Simple Payments, Stripe or PayPal, and the plan pages do not list them.
Where Invoice Simple is stronger
- Entry price. $6.99 a month if three invoices a month is all you need.
- Android and languages. iOS, Android and web apps, and the app in 23 languages.
- Read receipts. The app tells you when an invoice was delivered and opened; Invoxa shows an invoice as viewed but has no delivery receipts.
- Bookkeeping. A bank connection through Plaid with transaction categories and reports.
- More ways to get paid. PayPal and Venmo (US) next to cards, plus QR codes on printed invoices.
Where Invoxa is stronger
- No caps. Unlimited invoices, estimates, purchase orders, clients and emails on the one plan.
- Purchase orders and recurring invoices. Invoxa makes purchase orders from the same form and prepares recurring invoices weekly, every two or three weeks, or monthly; neither is listed in Invoice Simple's plan descriptions.
- Deposits and partial payments. Ask for a deposit on an invoice and record partial payments.
- Your Stripe, no platform fee. Card payments land in your own Stripe account at Stripe's rate.
- Price for unlimited. $5.99 a month against $21.99 for Invoice Simple Premium.

Is Invoxa free?
You can fill in an invoice in the Invoxa invoice generator without an account. A new account gets a 3-day free trial of Invoxa Pro with no credit card; after that Pro costs $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year. There is no free plan.
How many invoices can I send?
Invoice Simple counts invoices per billing month: 3 on Essentials, 10 on Plus, unlimited on Premium. Invoxa does not count: invoices, estimates, purchase orders, clients and emails are unlimited on its one plan.
