Technology and IT Invoice Templates

Besides the templates above, this page has two more free files. The Excel invoice has quantity, description, unit price and line total columns and calculates the subtotal, sales tax and total. The Word invoice is a clean, modern layout with similar columns, which you edit and print. They are general layouts rather than separate web design, SaaS or IT support templates, so use the quantity column for hours, licenses or months as needed.

What to include on an IT or tech invoice:

• the project, contract or support plan, and the period covered;
• development or support hours with your rate, or milestone and fixed-fee payments;
• recurring items such as hosting, maintenance plans, software licenses and domain names, each with its term;
• third-party costs you pass on, such as ad spend or plugin licenses, on separate lines;
• tax where it applies (digital services are taxed differently from place to place), your payment terms and how to pay.
