About Creative and Entertainment Invoice Templates

Besides the templates above, this page has two more free files. The Excel invoice lists items with quantity, unit price and discounts and calculates the tax and balance due for you. The Word invoice is a clean, modern layout with quantity, description, unit price and total, which you edit and print. Neither is specific to one creative field, so rename the lines to fit a photo shoot, a wedding video, a logo project, a gig or an article.

What to include on a creative invoice:

  • the project or event name and date;
  • what you delivered: the number of edited photos, the length of a video, design concepts and revision rounds, a set length for a performance, or a word count;
  • your fee: a day rate, an hourly rate, a project fee or a rate per word;
  • expenses such as travel, prints, props or equipment rental, as separate lines;
  • the usage rights or license you are granting, if your fee depends on how the work will be used;
  • any deposit already paid, the balance and the due date.

Our photography invoice guide and freelancer invoice guide cover each part in more detail.

With Invoxa you can add your logo, choose one of 8 invoice designs, send the invoice as a link or PDF, and let clients pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through your own Stripe account.
