About Real Estate and Property Management Invoice Templates
This page has two free files. The Excel billing invoice has a setup sheet for your company and bank details, a line-item table, and discount and tax fields, and it calculates the totals. The Word invoice is a classic layout with quantity, description, unit price, sales tax, shipping and a "total due by" date. Both are general invoices, so rename the lines for rent, management fees, repairs or commissions.
What to include on a property invoice:
- the property address, and the unit number where there is more than one;
- the period covered, such as rent for a month or management fees for a quarter;
- each charge on its own line: rent, utilities, parking, repairs or maintenance, and management or leasing fees;
- late fees only as your lease or agreement and local law allow;
- the due date and how to pay, such as bank transfer details or a payment link.
Tenants and property owners may need your invoices for their records or taxes, so keep a copy of every invoice and payment. For wording on due dates and late fees, see invoice payment terms.
For monthly charges, Invoxa can create a draft invoice on a schedule for you to review and send, record payments as they come in, and let tenants pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through your own Stripe account.
