About Manufacturing and Supply Chain Invoice Templates
Two free files are on this page. The Excel invoice has item numbers, quantities, unit prices, discounts, shipping, tax and deposit lines and calculates the totals; a second sheet keeps your customer list. The Word invoice is a business sales invoice with a customer ID, delivery date, shipping method and terms, item numbers and a discount on each line. Neither is a customs document, so for exports check what the destination country requires.
What to include on a manufacturing or wholesale invoice:
- the buyer's purchase order (P.O.) number, which many accounts payable teams need to match your invoice;
- item numbers or SKUs, descriptions, quantities and unit prices;
- volume discounts, shipping charges and freight terms, such as who pays for freight and where ownership passes;
- the delivery date and a delivery note or packing slip reference;
- payment terms such as Net 30, any early payment discount, and the due date.
Our guide to purchase orders and invoices explains how the two documents fit together.
Invoxa creates purchase orders as well as estimates and invoices, keeps your items with their codes and prices, and supports 119 currencies (you set yours in company settings).
